Our approach
We understand how to make the best of small spaces and to tailor outdoor spaces to the needs of our clients.
Sometimes we find ourselves returning to a garden we made many years previously, now with new owners with different requirements. We have some clients for whom we have made two, three or even four gardens as they have moved over the years.
In planning the structure of a new garden we are sympathetic to the architecture of the house.
When it comes to the planting, we like to encourage, as far as possible, wildlife friendly landscaping. The smallest areas can attract birds and pollinators and it is these visitors which do more than anything to bring a garden to life. Even a small pond will attract, very quickly, a wonderful ecosystem of insects, amphibians and birds.
Front gardens are usually more formal, and often the need to hide unsightly bins and park cars are high priorities, but we like to encourage sympathetic planting to
enhance the street scene and to provide a welcome home.
